Curriculum
For our experience day this half term our topic was materials. We made our own hand puppets and tested different materials to see if they were waterproof or not. Once we tested the materials, we then coloured a picture of a chicken with felt pens and glued the materials that were waterproof on to our pictures. At the end of the day we gently placed our pictures in water to test if the materials we had stuck on were waterproof enough to protect our pictures. We noticed that the felt pen ran on some pictures that didn’t have enough waterproof materials stuck to them. We also learnt about where materials come from and watched a video to see how glass is made out of sand!
