Friday 1st February was maths day at St Clements. As a school we have changed a lot about the way we teach maths, including lots of new resources, and the children wanted to share this with parent/carers.

We invited parent/carers into school to learn more about the new way we are teaching Maths in Years 1-6 as well as showing them what our nursery, reception and Year 6 classes are doing and how they can help at home. We are using pictures and resources to help children to recall how to solve +,-,X and division calculations and problems so they can choose the method that works best for them and begin to see how they can use what they know about + to solve -. We hope parent/carers found the sessions useful and thanks again for coming along to show your interest and support.
