  • Two weeks’ notice in writing is required to change your child’s lunchtime meal arrangements. Please ask at the office for the appropriate form to complete.

This is to ensure that the kitchen do not over order food which comes at an expense to the school or under order where there would not be enough food to provide meals for all children.

  • Please can dinner money and after school club money be paid on a weekly basis via ParentPay to avoid the build-up of monies owed. If you have not yet registered with ParentPay please ask the office for your login details to enable you to link an account to your child/ren.

Medical Diets in School

The school has procedures in place to support pupils with diagnosed food allergies, food intolerances and other medically required dietary needs. Where a medical diet is required, appropriate medical evidence may be requested to support the development of an Individual Healthcare Plan (IHCP), which will clearly identify the pupil’s dietary requirements and any necessary precautions or emergency procedures. Once agreed, relevant information will be shared with the school catering team to ensure that appropriate arrangements are made for school lunches and with relevant school staff so that the pupil’s dietary needs are considered during cooking, food technology, science and other lessons or activities involving food. The school will work closely with parents/carers and, where appropriate, healthcare professionals to ensure that the pupil’s needs are understood, managed safely and reviewed when necessary.

We are pleased to inform you that KK Sports on Gorton Indoor Market now have stock of school uniform for St Clement’s.

Please call in and see them for all your uniform needs, they are extremely helpful and offer an excellent service.

Online Free School Meal Application

Here at school we use an online free school meal application process, which removes the need for renewal. With this system you only have to apply once, no paperwork is needed and you receive an instant response to your child’s eligibility to receive free school meals. Once you have applied and received your response school will receive an email advising us of your child’s eligibility. This removes the need for us to send home application forms and requesting proof of receipt of certain benefits. If there is a change in your circumstances and your child’s eligibility changes both you and school will receive notification of this so both parties know instantly. This will prevent debt occurring as when it is identified to a parent that the eligibility has ended they can immediately choose whether to pay for school meals or send their child with a packed lunch and again if eligibility starts again school will be aware not to charge for meals provided to that child. The process is a simple online application which you can complete at home or we can support you in school to complete, and will need to be completed annually between June and October. 

Everyone can apply and it only takes a few minutes of your time, all you need is your national insurance number and contact details. Your child may be entitled to free school meals of which you are unaware.
